My current research relates to information privacy law and technology. Privacy is necessary to preserve public trust in technology. In Ontario, technology developers, like most companies are required to complying with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

My research assesses what constitutes a legitimate expectation of privacy regarding personal information collected, stored, and processed by information technologies and the limits of consent concerning the sharing of data.

At the moment I’m working on a project that explores known privacy risks associated with artificial intelligence and machine learning. I’ve also worked on privacy is it relates to connected and automated vehicles. My publication list is provided below.
